Dr. Ashley Woolley completed her Masters degree in Chiropractic at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in 2024. She also completed her Paediatric SLP at the University of Johannesburg in 2024. She is registered with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA) and Chiropractic Association of South Africa (CASA). She completed her dissertation on “The Prevalence of Lateral Ponticle (Lateral Bridging) of the Atlas in A South African Skeletal Collection”.

During her time at UJ she was the chairperson of the Student Chiropractic Association of Gauteng (SCAG) where she grew a great passion for giving back to the student body and her patients. Throughout her career as a student intern, Dr. Ash has been committed to staying at the forefront of chiropractic by continuously attending seminars and training workshops to improve her skills and knowledge.

Dr. Ash enjoys treating athletes from every sporting code and takes great joy in helping them perform to the best of their ability injury free. Her aim is not only to reduce pain but to also restore patient’s functionality. Jade Chiropractic Solutions was established with the goal to prioritise holistic and non-invasive treatment of all patients while promoting overall well-being and a healthy lifestyle.

 

Utilising a safe, gentle, and evidence-based approach for all her patients, Dr. Ashley's approach is patient-centered with a focus on identifying cause of pain rather than treating the symptoms. She makes use of chiropractic manipulation and joint mobilization of the spine and extremities in her treatments in addition to soft tissue techniques such as dry needling, functional cupping, sports massage, cervical traction, flexion distraction, ischemic compression, active release, and taping.

 

Treatment modalities such as instrument assisted soft tissue massage (IASTM), electrotherapy (IFC), and ultrasound therapy are also incorporated into her treatment programs where necessary.
